He had to wait one year after passing the Matriculation exam in 1951 to attend the University of Rangoon because he was underage.

He graduated as a Top Civil Engineering student in 1958 and was awarded the U Kyaw Sein prize.

He joined the Civil Engineering Department in 1958 as Assistant Lecturer.
He received Scholarship to do his Masters at MIT.
Upon his return, he was promoted to Lecturer.
He is Past President of RIT Swimming and Water Polo. He is Past President of RIT Rowing. He served as Line Judge at RUBC Regattas with Sayagyi U Num Kok and Saya U Sein Win.
He received his Ph.D. from Tulane University, New Orleans, USA.
He retired as Professor at Tulane University.
He taught almost six decades in Burma/Myanmar and USA.

Saya donated K10 lakhs from the Garawa mony received at SPZP to Swel Daw Yeik Foundation (SDYF).

U Tin Aung Win U Nyunt Maung was our Mathematics teacher for us at that time [at Sacred Heart]. Another Mathematics teacher was Mr. Lazarus.
U Nyunt Tin Our Sayars from SPHS. U Nge was my teacher in 7th Std. U Sein was Burmese Teacher in Matric Class (1963-1964). I have a great chance to pay homage online to our Sayars & Brothers of SPHS. I matriculated in 1964 and entered R I T as a first year student. Graduated in 1970 (Civil ). I was in SPHS from 1955 to 1964, as a boarding student.
She is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She owns “Myit Makha International Trading Co.”
She donated more than K200 Lakhs to the 69er HCF (Health Care Fund).
She sponsored many activities: 69er monthly Breakfast gathering, Lunch gathering (e.g to welcome Nyunt Nyunt Wai (Germany)), Several tables at 69er Annual Dinner and Entertainment

On 7th May 1973, I joined Chemical Engineering Department as an Instructor. Those who joined Electrical Engineering Department as Instructors at the same time were U Tin Win (EC), U Ko Ko Kyi (EC), Daw Nyunt Nyunt Yee (EP), U Kyaw Aung (aka) U Kyin Phyu (EP), U Khin Soe (EP), Daw Khin Aye Winn (EP) and U အချွန်(aka) U Aung Than. All, except U Tin Win(EC71), belonged to 1972 batch.
Matriculated from St. Paul’s High School in 1957. His Burmese teacher was Saya U Sein (father of Dr. Soe Win, 1st in Burma in 1958, retired Rector of YUFL).
Taught Burmese at the Institute of Economics. Served as Secretary of a Committee headed by Dr. Aung Gyi (Professor of Civil Engineering) at the RU Golden Jubilee in 1970.
Transferred to RIT as Registrar. Saya Dr. Aung Gyi was Rector.
Served as Administrator at RASU and Director at the Ministry of Education

After retirement, he was glad to be invited by former students and talk for a long time.
He received Garawa money before RU Centennial for composing the epic song.
Sad to note that he gradually lost memory.
Glad to learn that he can still play his favorite song.
Saya is the maternal uncle of U Sein Tin (EC74, Australia).
