• Promoted to Lecturer
• Later, moved to USA

• Married Daw Mu Mu Kin in 1971.
• They have a son, a daughter and four grandsons.
• Son Myo Lynn Htay (Electrical Engineer) has two sons : Alyn and Daniel
• Daughter Thuzar Kin Htay has two sons : Reed and Miles
