- Won Gold Medal in 1949 for Highest Marks in Intermediate exams; highest for I.Sc; highest for Arts & Science
- Graduate of Imperial College, London University : B.Sc (Special) & M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
- Joined RU Faculty of Engineering as Assistant Lecturer
- Promoted to Lecturer and Professor
- Retired Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Rangoon Institute of Technology
Contributions
- Per request from Dr. Maung Maung Kha (Acting Dean), he helped the Engineering Library to order Teaching and Reference Materials
- Early Supporter of HMEE (History of Myanmar Engineering Education). He hosted the inaugural HMEE meeting at Winner Inn. He donated Photo Albums to the HMEE Project and MES. He requested U Thaw Kaung (Chief Librarian, Universities’ Central Library) to provide access to Saya U Soe Paing (who volunteered to compile a draft for HMEE Book).
