He supposedly paid his school fees from his winnings from “Ta Chut Hmok / Show” (and similar card games). With great control and having excellent strategies, he was never victimized by “over-emotional” card players.
He was also good in sports : as a “lifter” in volleyball and as a “smasher” in table tennis.
He later transferred to UCC as Application Programmer along with Bo Shoke, Ko Htin Kyaw and Ko Tun Shwe.
His mentors include Saya Dr. Khin Mg Kyi (who attended the University as a monk & is known for his debating style). Ko Thein Oo is equally good as his mentor and may be even better.
Saya found his soul mate (Than Than Tint) at UCC. Or is it Thant Thant Tin (or the permutations)? On their early date, a Sayama from Commerce Department saw them and broke the news to UCC Sayas.
They and their family members (son, daughter-in-law) operate ACE and its subsidiaries.
Ko Thein Oo and Ko Tin Win Aung co-founded the first “training & services” company.
Ko Thein Oo has served in various capacities (President …) in MCF and similar organizations.
He would entertain (e.g. with Naga Ni song) at the UCC and ICST Gatherings.
He is the elder brother of U Myo Myint (ChE, USA), Nelly Kyin, U Kyi Lwin (George, C67), U Tint Lwin (Daniel, M69), Peggy Kyin and U Thet Lwin (Henry, EC72).
He is an alumnus of Lehigh University in the USA. Sayagyi U Aung Khin and Saya U Thit are alumni of Lehigh.
He served as President of RIT Badminton Association, which won the Inter-Institute tournaments thanks to Sai Kham Pan (EP69, Burma Selected) and his team mates (Bishnu, Myint Sein, .Tommy Sein, ..)
He taught at RIT and Singapore Polytechnic.
He and Sayama Daw May Than Nwe (Joyce, Physics) passed away within a month (or two) of each other.
May they rest in peace.

Sayama Emma wrote on her 73rd birthday (on December 6, 2018)
Today is my birthday.
Am now listening to U Su Mingala and will meditate to start my next year.
Hope to do more Taya and less of everything.
I thank everyone in my life.
Love everyone.
I ask forgiveness to those whom I unknowingly did wrong.
Likewise I forgive anyone who did to me.
Am grateful for my family, my Husband, my Daughter, my Son in law and my delightful grandchildren.
Am indeed blessed.
** Editor’s Note :
Wishing Model & Minthamee turned Mae Daw Gyi & Phwa Phwa a Happy Birthday and many more to come.
You can perform Parahita and also practice Meditation.
You can also continue to enjoy the simple pleasures like Pon Chan Chan parties (with music, dancing, and cooking) and spending quality time with your lovely grand kids.
You can gain merits repeatedly by contemplating on your kusala and how you had taken care of your beloved mother.
Have a balanced life and live beyond the 120 years mentioned in your natal horoscope.

He matriculated from St. Albert’s High School, Maymyo in 1964. He was admitted as the Top Student (with Roll Number One) to the first ever 1st BE Class at the Rangoon Institute of Technology (RIT).
In 1970, he graduated with Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with specialization in Electrical Power (EP).
He worked for Heavy Industries Corporation (HIC) briefly and Ceramics Corporation.
He moved to USA, did his MSEE with specialization in Electronics. He worked in the Electronics Industry until retirement.
He was selected as RIT Luyechun (Outstanding Student) in the Summer of 1965 to attend Inlay Khaung Daing Camp.
He wrote a long article about his memories at his alma mater. U Ohn Khine (M70) added details and posted in the Google Group for the 1st BE Intake. U Hla Min added the article and published it in RIT Alumni Newsletter.
He played several sports. He tended goal for the Soccer team of his hostel, his class and discipline. He competed in Rowing and Track & Field.
He was an Executive Committee Member and/or Secretary of Hostel Committee, RIT Burmese Association, RIT Mathematics Association, RIT Electrical Engineering Association, RIT English Association, RIT Track & Field Association, and RIT Magazine Committee.
He and selected alumni invited Sayagyi U Ba Toke (Retired Professor of Engineering Mathematics at RIT) to attend the First RIT Grand Reunion and Saya PU Zaw Pwe (fondly known as SPZP-2000) in San Francisco, California. He hosted Sayagyi at his (then) new house in Hayward California.
Notes
He made waves when he complained about mismanagement at the Luyechun Camp. Later Camp Commandants were sayas (including Sayagyi U Ba Toke).
He added Nawaday to his name to minimize name conflicts (which are common for Burmese names).
Ko Ye Myint (son of Sayagyi U Ba Toke) and Ko Nyunt Maung San were Best Men at his wedding.
He competed in the English Debate between 1st year and 2nd year classes. He won as a 1st year student. He lost as a 2nd year student.
He was a preliminary selection for the RIT crew at RUBC.
He hiked to Rakkhine with Ko Han Tha Myint and Ko Sein Win. It was reported in the newspapers.
He lived and worked in New York and California. After retirement, he moved to Las Vegas.
