• Before Saya U Ba Than passed away, 69ers (mostly from Mechanical) paid respect on or around October 2nd (Saya’s birthday ).
• U Aung Min (M69) was the organizer. The following is his report.

Dear RIT69ers

ဒီနေ့နံနက် (၂၅/၉/၂၂)တွင် ဆရာကြီး ဦးဘသန်း Mechanical Professor ထံသို့ အတန်းဖေါ်သူငယ်ချင်းနှင့် သွားရောက် ဂါရဝပြုလျက် စုပေါင်းကန်တောငွေ ကျပ်၁၄သိန်းအားဆက်ကပ် ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ဆေးရုံမှဆင်းတာမကြာသေးတာကြောင့် အနည်းငယ်ပိန်သွားတာမှလွဲလို့ ကျန်းမာနေကြောင်းတွေ့ခဲ့ရပါတယ်။

ဆရာကြီးက တပည့်များအားမှာကြားလိုက်သည်ကတော့ ” ယခုအသက် ၉၂ နှစ်ရှိပြီ၊ မကြာခင်အသက် ၁၀၀ ပြည့်မည်၊မကြာ မကြာ လာတွေ့ကြပါ၊အားလုံးကျန်းမာကြပါစေ။” ဟူ၍ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

U Aung Chaw (Ashin Ukkamsa)

• Became a monk after retirement
• Spent several Vasa in Sagaing
• Currently at Nyaung Don monastery (in the Delta region)

U Han Sein (GBNF)

• TONE KYAW
  He was inadvertently listed in an early listing of GBNF.
• Most if not all 69ers were unaware that he was sentenced to Twenty years by the Adhamma authorities.
• He was released after 17 years.

• RIT Basketball Selected
• Organizer, Latha Township
• Enjoys taking photos at the 69er Gatherings.
  Experiments a lot with the special effects of his camera.

Daw Myint Myint

• Major donor of the 69er HCF (Health Care Fund)
• Major donor for the “YTU Modernization Project”. She donated K100 Lakhs.
• Sponsored several tables for the 69er gatherings e.g. welcoming Daw Nyunt Nyunt Wai (Millie, T69, Germany) at Western Park Royal, and the Annual Dinner at M3.

U Myo Nyunt

• Represented RIT in soccer.
• Three generations of RIT alumni / students
• Visits his son in Seattle, Washington, USA.
  Took side trips to various parts of USA.
• Had a mini-gathering with U Aung Khin (A69) & Daw Tin Tin Hla (A70), U Min Maung (EP68), and Saya U Kaung (C63) in Seattle in November 2017.

Dr. Htin Aung

• Old Paulian
  Matriculated in 1963
• Retired as Professor and Head of the Civil Engineering Department.
• Represented RIT in Chinlon with U Tin Shein (“Phone Gyi”, M69).
• Also played competitive badminton.

• Before the pandemic, 69ers used to have Monthly Breakfast Gatherings usually at Taw Win Hnin Si (Royal Rose Restaurant).
• Some 69ers offered to host the Gathering to celebrate their Anniversaries, Birthdays …
• U Aung Min (M69, Chair of 69er HCF) is a Core Organizer of the 69er activities including the Annual Dinner Gatherings and the Golden Jubilee Celebrations
• Over 40% of the class are GBNF (Gone But Not Forgotten).
