Tut can be a nickname.
Tut can also be a spelling variant for Htut.

U Tin Tut, the eldest of seven notable siblings, was the first ICS (by invitation). He was not a politician, but he became a key figure in Burma’s politics and government. He served as a member of several delegations (in the quest for Burma’s Independence), a diplomat, a Brigadier in the Reserve Army, a minister and a journalist.
Sadly, he became a victim of a bomb placed under his car in front of his office. His assassination in September 1948 remains a high profile unsolved mystery.
Dr. Thane Oke Kyaw Myint wrote :
In England when all three brothers were there, in a derogatory way, there were called as “Minty” my father, “Monty” U Myint Thein, and Tut Tut (U Tin Tut).
