Myo Min (Names)

He was an early Professor of English at Rangoon University.
He later taught at the Institute of Education.
He is a bilingual author. His pen name is “Nwe Soe”.
Some mentioned him as a co-founder of the “Khit San Sar Pay” along with Theikpan Maung Wa (ICS U Sein Tin), Zawgyi (Saya U Thein Han) and Minthuwun (Saya U Wun).
He has four children.
The eldest Dr. Patricia was a Top Ten student in the Matriculation exam of 1960.
The second daughter Pamela (Min Thet Mon, A70) served as Professor of Architecture.
The son Kyaw Myo (EC72) was named UNO because he was born on the day celebrating the founding of the United Nations Organization. He is a former Deputy Minister.
The youngest is Dr. Beauty.

He matriculated from St. Paul’s High School in 1958.
He won medals for standing first in I. Com in 1960 and B. Com (Accounting) in 1962.
He became CA (Chartered Accountant) in the United Kingdom and worked as Systems Analyst for IBM UK.
Dr. Chit Swe (GBNF) requested his mother to find out if he would be interested to help with the UCC Project.
His father passed away while he was working in the UK, so he decided to come back to be with his mother and also to help with his computer and business skills.
He co-founded UCC with Sayas Dr. Chit Swe, U Soe Paing and U Ko Ko Lay (GBNF).
He joined UCC as Applications Manager. He later led the Business Applications Division. He taught at UCC, Institute of Economics and at Government Departments that have Computer Applications.
He received Masters in System Engineering from Lancaster University.
He taught at Nangyang Technical Institute in Singapore.
He was a Principal for Seagate Technologies and Connors in California, USA.
He passed the Thingyo exam.
He is well versed not only in Business Applications, but monitors leading edge technologies.
His spouse Daw Khin Khin Chit Maung taught English at RIT before joining UNICEF. She is the younger sister of Saya U Tin Htut (M60).
