• He founded RUBC in 1923.
• He pledged a third of his salary for the operating expenses of RUBC.

• Sir Arthur Eggar wrote an autobiography in the mid-1950s for the Guardian Magazine (as a series of articles that ran for three months).
• A group of Old Members donated to publish his Autobiography in time for the 90th Anniversary of the founding of RUBC.
