Saya U Tin Hlaing (M59) joined Mechanical Engineering Department as Assistant Lecturer.

He received MS from Purdue University.

He was promoted to Lecturer.

He later headed Agricultural Engineering Department (sub-department of Mechanical Engineering Department).

He played Tennis and Soccer, and managed the All Universities & Institutes Hockey Team.

He had kidney problem, but could not access to the two rare Dialysis Machines at BMH.

He could not get passport & visa in time to have medical treatment overseas.
