U Saw Lin (C71) succeeded U Hla Myint Thein and U Myo Khin as Secretary of RIT Civil Engineering Association.

He served as VP of MES and Chief Editor of MES Technical Publications. He mailed me some MES journals.

During my visits in 2012, he hosted a Welcome Dinner and gave me a ride to attend SPZP meetings.

I learned about his medical conditions. He had operations (including a transplant) and hospitalizations.

He was a Core Organizer of SPZP-2012. He took care of Logistics, Security and Publications. He served as Chief Editor of the Commemorative Swel Daw Yeik Magazine. He reprinted limited copies of the 23 RIT Annual Magazines.

He decided not to have more operations and eventually succumbed to the worsening medical conditions.
