Daw Khin Than Nwe (Margaret Than Maung, T62) is the lone female graduate in 1962.

Five female engineering students — Dr. Julie Han (T, GBNF), Daw Tin Tin Ohn (Amy Thwin, T, GBNF), Daw Yin Kyi (T, Australia), Daw Mi Mi Lay (T), Pauline Reynolds (ChE) –graduated in 1961.

She is the spouse of Saya Dr. Khin Maung Win (Metallurgy, GBNF) who transferred as Director General of Technical & Vocational Training. They have a son, two daughters and some grandchildren.

She is the elder sister of two Paulians : Dr. Tin Maung Maung Than (Edward, Political Economics) and Dr. Khin Maung Maung Than (Freddie).

Freddie joined the Burma Medical Corp. He became consultant nephrologist at Defence Services General Hospital Mingaladon, from which he took pension.

Ma Ma Khin Than Nwe’s son married the daughter of Paediatric surgeon Dr. Hlaing Mya (George, SPHS/Sacred Heart).
