Update : December 13, 2022
Some call it “Oz”.
Some call it “Ausi”.
Some call it “Down Under”.
It is officially known as Australia.
For many years, the alumni there — especially from Sydney — try to have two gatherings a year. One is a Summer picnic and the other is an Annual dinner. Since several alumni have medical doctors as their spouse, some Annual dinners may be held in collaboration with the Medical Association.
I attended the Annual dinner in 2006. The attendees include Saya U Hla Myint (Charlie), Saya U Myo Win (Melvyn, GBNF), Ko Htay Aung (Victor), Ko Wint Khin Zaw, Ko Htun Aung Kyaw, Ko George Peters, Ko Aye Win Hlaing & Ma Christine, Ko Sein Tin, Ko Robert Win Boh, Ko Sein Win & Ma San San Oo, Ko Nyan Lin Thein (GBNF), Ko Tin Aung Win (TAG) & Ma Dorothy, …
Later, several alumni (Ko Henry Thet Tun, Ko Sein Win) volunteered as Executive Committee members of the Myanmar Engineers in Australia Association.
I did not meet Krishnan Lal, Sayama Terry, Saya U Thit, …
There are many musicians (guitarists, vocalists, dancers, …)

Ko Sein Win & Ma San San Oo are seen celebrating their anniversary with a trip to Niagara Falls.
Ko Robert Win Boh (EC69) survived two strokes and a cancer. He is appreciating every moment by volunteering for the Australian Red Cross, for selected monasteries in Down Under, and by traveling to UK, USA, India, Singapore and Myanmar.
