His son (Vijay B. Chand) posted news of Saya’s demise on the morning of December 9, 2022.

He was from Myitkyina.

He stood Second in his class of C70 and joined the Civil Engineering Department along with Saya U Aung and Saya U Aye Win Kyaw (GBNF).

He also worked for PPFC and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
