  • Most members attended Rangoon University when it reopened in 1946 and graduated with B.Sc.(Engg) in 1952.
  • U Tin U left before graduation to study in the USA.

Saya U Sein Hlaing (EE52, GBNF)

Sayas for RIT Electrical Engineering Department (in the mid 60s)
  • Received B.Sc. (Engg) in Electrical Engineering in 1952.
  • Joined the EE Department as Assistant Lecturer.
  • Received MS from MIT.
  • Upon return to Burma, he was promoted to Lecturer.
  • Retired as Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.
  • Passed away a few years after retirement.

U Tin U (C)

  • Past Captain and Gold of RUBC (Rangoon University Boat Club).
  • Oldest and Most Senior among active RUBC Past Captains.
  • Left RU before graduation to study in USA.
  • Received BS from Oregon State University and MS from Yale University.
  • Upon his return to Burma, he taught part-time at the Civil Engineering Department.
  • Served as Honorary Treasurer, Burma Society of Civil Engineers.
  • Played golf until his early Eighties.
  • Past Captain of RGC (Rangoon Golf Club).
  • Celebrated 93rd birthday in August 2022.
