G Hall
- According to Saya U Soe Paing, G-Hall was the residence of BIT sayas.
- In November 1964, G Hall became the residence of female engineering students
- Daw Cho Cho Tin wrote a book about G Hall.
Untimely demise
- Saya U Tin Hlaing (M59) received his MS from Purdue University.
He headed the Agricultural Engineering Department (Sub-department of Mechanical).
He played soccer and tennis.
He managed the All Universities and Institutes Hockey team.
He had kidney problem, but could not get access to the two Dialysis Machines (reserved for VIP).
He did not get passport and visa in time for getting medical treatment overseas.
- Ko Peter Pe, RIT selection for swimming and water polo, fell of a pony (used to provide rides for children). There was no noticeable injury.
He passed away presumably due to “internal bleeding” (or equivalent).
