- Many books and photos have been published about Shwe Dagon Pagoda.
- During our younger days, we visited Shwe Dagon pagoda on Sundays.
- We often see U Nyan Tun (father of Sayama Daw Khin Sandar Tun) volunteering for Kusala Kari Ah Thinn. The members of the association did the cleaning.
Sponsors / donors provided brunch for the volunteers. - There were other Ah Thinns that take care of the cleaning.
In fact, there were two Associations for Wednesdays :

- There are many festivals.
- Our ancestors offered “Sa Tu Di Tha” — free food for people coming from the four directions — at the Tabaung festival.
- “Ma Thoe Thingan Yet Pwe” is an annual competition for weaving robes to offer to the Four Buddha statues.
