Saya U Soe Paing helped Sayagyi Dr Chit Swe found UCC along with Saya U Myo Min and Saya U Ko Ko Lay (GBNF).
Saya was my mentor at RIT and UCC.
Saya offered me and Saya U Aung Zaw (UCC) to be his co-authors.
Saya and his brothers Dr. Myo Paing, U Win Paing (Sayadaw U Wara) and U Kyaw Paing are excellent golfers.
Saya served as Golf Correspondent.
I helped typed the Golf news.
KMZ would send the news to Guardian and/or WPD.
Due to a back injury, Saya stopped playing golf for a few months in 2018.
He resumed playing in January 2019, but had to use a buggy and the senior Tee.
After retirement, Saya spent two or three days a week meditating at Kaba Aye Sunlun Gu Kyaung where Sayadaw U Wara is the Chief Abbot.
Saya was a prime mover to get the “RIT Alumni International
Newsletters” and http://www-ex-rit.org started.
Saya wrote articles for “RIT Alumni International”.
Saya compiled the draft for HMEE-2012 project. He also translated Sections One and Two into English.
Saya would mention that I am a “Shay Hmi; Nauk Hmi.”
Sayagadaw Daw Saw Yu Tint (T69) added: “Bay Hmi as well”.
They have three children and two grand children.
