- Dr. Sann Oo (EP67) is the son of Journal Kyaw Tint Swe.
He served as Associate Editor of “Hlyat Sit Sar Saung” published by RIT Electrical Engineering Association. - Daw Than Yi (EP70) writes with the pen name “Maubin Ma Shwe Than”.
During her younger days, a translation of her short story was published in Working People’s Daily and received an honorarium of 50 Kyats.
She also served as Association Editor of “Hlyat Sit Sar Saung”. - It is highly probable that their shared love of literature led them to become life long partners.
Saya U Moe Aung (Tekkatho Moe War) was Chief Editor of the Sar Saung and mentor of the love birds. - After retirement, Dr. Sann Oo and Daw Than Yi established “East and West Parami Hospital.”
They showed us around the hospital, and later took out for a Rakhine Lunch. - They published several books mostly for the love of Sar Pay and not necessarily for financial gains.
- Their first publication was a reprint of the Burmese sci-fi (science fiction) by Journal Kyaw Tint Swe.
- Another publication was by William, their grandson (then about 10 years old).

- Dr. Sann Oo wrote papers for a Myanmar Research Journal.
- Daw Than Yi published a collection of blogs about her G-Hall and EPC days (including long distance correspondence with Dr. Sann Oo who was doing postgraduate studies abroad).
