In November 1964, there were three intakes
- 1st BE (Class of 70)
- 2nd BE (Class of 69)
- 3rd BE (Class of 68)
In the old system, they would correspond to
- 1st yr Engg
- The difference is that the controversial ILA (Intelligence Level Aggregate) was used for admission to the first ever 1st BE.
400+ students (probably 450) joined.
- The Marks were used for admission to the first ever 2nd BE.
300+ students (probably 325) joined.
- About 200 joined 3rd BE.
As of August 28, 2021, the GBNF lists are
- 111 (for 1st BE intake)
- 108 (for 2nd BE intake)
A quarter to a third from the two classes are now Gone But Not Forgotten (GBNF).
No statistics for the Class of 68.
