Per Saya Dr. Maung Maung Nyo, Colonel Min Sein and Major Shwe Zan (later Lt. Col) were Commissioned by the British.

Dr. Ba Than refused the British to evacuate and then headed the RGH during the Occupation. After the war, Dr. Ba Than had to appear before the British Officers and tell about his “commitment to the country and its citizens”. The Officers dropped the case.

Dr. Ba Than seerved as Rector of Institute of Medicine (1).
