By Thein Swe (EP69)

The following list of ex-sayas (of RIT/ YTU) as well as 69++ers may be included in Myanmar Engineering Education History of the period from late 1969 to 2005 +. Some of them had contributed something for Myanmar Engineering Education for short term and some for long term.

U Aung Myint (M, Pathein) taught at RIT and Singapore Polytechnic. After retirement, he is enjoying time doing painting, sharing motivational messages and traveling to New Zealand and Myanmar.

U Aung Myint (Petr, Yenan-chaung, rarely-seen classmate) quit YTU in 1989 and became a producer of Cartoon Comics and Burmese-translated books of various computer programmes. He is living in Tamwe Tsp.

U Chit Htun (Mining?, deceased?)

U Hla Myint Thein @ Patrick Aye (C, Mandalay) changed to business-man, living in Shwe-taung-gyar, Ygn.

Dr. Htin Aung (C, Prof,, Ygn) represented RIT in Chinlon. He is also a good badminton player.

U Hla Shwe (Txt, ex-Assoc Prof, south Dagon, he taught in RIT until 60 yrs of age). He is GBNF.

U Hla Myint (C) changed to business-man, downtown, Ygn.

U Khin Mg Tin (M, Salin, ex-Prof) taught for more than 30 yrs in YTU. He moved to Myanmar Maritime University and also taught at a Private School in Ygn.

U Khin Mg Tint (C, Shwebo) taught at RIT for 30 yrs. He formed a structural design company)

Dr. Khin Mg Win @ Donald (C) continued teaching at a Malaysian University.

U Kyaw Tint (Mining?) was imprisoned during 1988 uprising.

Mehm Aye Chan @ Ohn Mg (M, Mon) became a seaman and a shipping representative in Ygn.

Naw Mu Mu Aye (Txt, ex-Prof) taught until 60 yrs of age. She lives in Shwe-pyi-yhar Tsp.

U Nyj Hla Nge (C, Rakhine, still single, ex-Dy Minister, ex-Rector) formed a structural design company, still involving in Myanmar Engineering Education, tried to reopen classes in Gyogone campus. He lives in Insein Tsp.

Dr. Myo Khin (C, 64 – 2nd BE Intake, 70 grad) moved to Japan. After retirement, he travels to Ygn as consultant for three Japanese companies.

Sai Aung Win (Met, Kyaukme) taught for several before moving to Mandalay and forming a construction company.

U Than Lwin @ Henry (EC) taught not only in YTU but also in Defence Services Technological Institute. He lives in downtown Ygn.

Dr. Taing Ok (Ch, Kyaukse) after several yrs in YTU relocated to Japan.

U Tin Mg Nyunt ( Met, 64-2nd BE Intake. 70 grad, ex-Assoc Prof, son-in-law of Mr Simon/ Workshop Superintendent)

U Hla Min (EC, Ygn, now chief editor of RIT-Alumni International Newsletter Updates) and Dr. Tun Aung Gyaw (EC, Meiktila) had taught in UCC (University Computer Centre) in Thamaing Campus for several yrs and then relocated to USA.

U San Lin (C, tall, a Hindi) had served in Yenan–chaung, Chauk and Tan-lyin GTI/GTC. He taught at a private school in Ygn. He is GBNF.
