  • He is from the first batch of Architecture graduates from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rangoon.
  • He received his Masters from the University of Michigan.
  • He retired as Professor and Head of the Architecture Department.

Saya Allen Htay (C58)

  • He received his Masters from Yale University.
  • He retired as Lecturer from the Civil Engineering Department.
  • He served as President of the RIT Photographers Association.
  • He is a founder member of RIT Alumni International and served as its President.
  • He is a core organizer for SPZP-2000.
  • He is GBNF.

Dr. San Hla Aung (C58)

Civil Sayas and Alumni
  • He received his Masters from MIT and his doctorate from Tulane University.
  • He retired as Professor from Tulane University.
  • He served as President of the RIT Swimming Club and the RIT Rowing Club.
  • He served as Line Judge at the RUBC Regattas.

  • He retired as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department.

  • He is a co-founder of “Architects Incorporated”.
  • He retired from PWD.
  • He is an excellent pianist.
  • He was shunned by the higher authorities because he designed the Mausoleum for Daw Khin Kyi.
  • He became a monk after retirement.

  • He retired as a Senior Scientist from NASA.
  • He is a Past President of BASES.

  • He served as Head of the Agricultural Engineering Department (sub-department of Mechanical Engineering.
  • He served as President of the Universities Hockey Association.
  • Sayagyi U Aung Khin wrote memories of Saya U Tin Hlaing.

  • He served as Head of the Autombile Engineering Department (sub-department of Mechanical Engineering.
  • He served as President of BEA.

  • He is Past Captain and Gold of RUBC.
  • He co-founded BASES.
  • He served as Financial Controller for the 2015 RIT Alumni Reunion in Los Angeles.
  • He donated K100 Lakhs for YTU Library Modernization Project and K10 Lakhs to SDYF. He also donated to All-Mechanical Gathering.

  • He served as President of RIT Thaing Association.

  • He co-founded “Architects Incorporated”.
  • He is Past Captain and Gold of RUBC.
  • He was ARAE Champion for Coxless Pairs in 1958 and Coxed Fours in 1960.
  • He co-founded “Triple Gems Publications”.

U Aung Kyee Myint (A60)

  • He co-founded “Architects Incorporated”.
  • He retired as Chief Architect of PWD.

U Khin Maung Yin (A60, GBNF)

  • He and his fellow artists are frequent visitors to “Architects Incorporated”.
  • He directed “Hna Ma Let Shawt Nay Lay Dawt” (which is praised by some and criticized by many for some “non-conforming” aspects).
