  • “K” is the pen name of BBS U Khin Zaw (father of U Wint Khin Zaw).
  • Dr. Daw K Mya Yee was an Educator.
  • U Kar was Minister of Education in the Caretaker Government. He is the father of Dr. Tin Maung (UCC, DCS, ICST).
  • Kin Wun Mingyi U Kaung was Chief Minister for King Mindon and King Thibaw.
  • U Kaung held several positions before and after Burma’s Independence. His signature is place on the bank notes issued by the Union Bank of Burma. He served as Special Education Officer in the UK, Education Counselor at the Burmese Embassy in UK, Director of Education and first Chairman of the Burma Historic Commission. He is the father of U Thaw Kaung, Daw Kyi May Kaung and Daw Yee May Kaung.
  • U Kaung headed the Mechanical Department at Insein GTI. He is the father of Gordan Kaung (U Kaung Kaung Oo, M83) and Ma Thida Kaung (spouse of U Ko Ko Zin (M84), Treasurer, NorCal RITAA).
  • U Kaung Kaung Oo (Gordon Kaung, M83) is the youngest among the founding members of RIT Alumni International. He is also a founding member of NorCal RIT Alumni Association and serves as its President. His ventures include (a) Mechanical Solutions (b) iNapa Wine with Daw Lillian Kaung (EC83). iNapa Wine hosted several gatherings (to welcome sayas, to hold meetings) and has donated its Premium Wine bottles (e.g. at 2015 Alumni Reunion at Los Angeles).
  • U Khin was an English saya English at RIT. He had dictionaries for Scrabble on his desk. He moved to Taiwan.
  • U Khin Aung Bo was one of the sayas who were asked to teach Political Science. He is President of MARB.
  • Daw Khin Khin Latt (Ma Ma Mi) is the spouse of Sayagyi Dr. Chit Swe (Founder of UCC, Rector of RASU). One of their sons is named Swe Latt bearing part of their names. The other is named Chit Khin.
  • U Khin Maung (M) was a saya at RIT Mechanical. He taught us Machine Design.
  • Commander Khin Maung Bo was the first Burmese Chief of Staff for the Navy. He is Past Captain and Gold of RUBC.
  • U Khin Maung Bo (Alan, SPHS63, EP69) was my classmate at SPHS and RIT.
  • U Khin Maung Cho (M73) was a member of the RIT Hovercraft team. He is a Minister for Industry.

He is the father of Saya Dr. Khin Maung Win (Maths) and the grandfather of Maung Maung Win (Maung Yit, Cartoonist & Moe Ma Ka) and Mi Mi Win (Junior Win, bilingual writer).
  • U Khin Maung Latt, father of Saya U Khin Maung Gyi (English) and U Khin Maung Lay (RIT soccer, Principal of Labor School, Member of Burma HRC), was Minister in the AFPFL Government.
  • U Khin Maung Latt (M63) played soccer and rowed for the Faculty of Engineering. He is the brother of U Khin Maung Lay (Henry, T68), a multi-sport athlete and Past President of BASES.

  • Saya U Kyaw Lwin (George Saw Lwin, EC65, GBNF) was a pianist and a rower. His elder brother Jimmy Saw Lwin is RUBC Gold.

  • Sagaing Kyi Nyunt was Burma Champion for Badminton in Singles and Doubles (with Sai Kham Pan (EP69)). He won a Bronze Medal at the Asian Games.
