Thanksgiving

The fourth Thursday of November is celebrated in the US as “Thanksgiving Day”.

It is traditional to have Turkey dinner at Thanksgiving.

It is traditional to have the President select a Turkey and give it “Presidential Pardon”.

History Channel says that there is no evidence that turkey was served at the gathering between the Pilgrims and the Native Indians. The natives brought five deer.

Pumpkin pies were also not available in those times.

It’s amazing what most people “take for granted” are (a) often only partially true or are (b) urban legends and myths.
